Swallow launch

Once the work schedule was agreed the fabrication of the Teak joinery commenced.

The rubbing strakes were machined and fitted followed by the cockpit coamings and splashboard. A tiller was shaped, varnished and then fitted to the moulded in stock.

In-hull transducers were fitted and the header unit, located on the splashboard, was wired up. Inspection hatches were fitted to allow access to the buoyancy chambers.

The bottom was abraded, primed and then antifouled with the owners preferred antifoul choice.

All the deck fittings, Harken blocks, bow fittings, backstay and forestay attachment points, main and jib sheet tracks were all fastened into place. The Chain plates were located and secured in situ.

All the mast and boom fittings were riveted into place. The mast was stepped and the over length rigging adjusted to fit. The boom was attached.

The boat was launched complete and ready to race.
